Classical Pilates Teacher Certification Program

with Brooke Bergdahl of CoreSelf

Training and Final Certification offered in person and online. Being Classically Certified with Brooke through CoreSelf is a very individualized and customized approach to training. If you’re a match, it’s about meeting you where you are, assessing goals and objectives, and mapping a training program to get there in your workout and your teaching. Brooke has always held the bar very high since beginning training teachers in 2009.

Being accepted is very much per Brooke’s discretion. Each student in the certification program will be evaluated and then given a map that is unique to their training plan in regard to overall timing and testing.

Testing : practical teaching, written test, & workout test per three sections of Classical system content, Basic/Intermediate/Advanced.

Studio training hours required per three sections of system content either with Brooke in her studio or with an approved studio owner/teacher (number of required hours depends on applicants previous trainings/teaching/experience).

Teachers previously certified in Contemporary Pilates who are looking to now be certified in Classical must demonstrate familiarity of the classical system in their personal workout and have familiarity with most of the full studio apparatus. IF a Contemporary teacher is not yet familiar, being a committed student of Brooke’s for some time prior to applying to be Certified by Brooke will be necessary as a type of ‘on boarding’ to the Certification Program. Discuss with Brooke.

Upon completion of all content testing and evaluation, you will be provided with a Classical Pilates Teacher Certificate signed by Brooke Bergdahl, Core Self.

Manuals : Three system manuals will be provided for your training and for you to keep post training in physical form. The base fee for these manuals and the intellectual property is $350. They will be mailed to you if you are not local.

Pricing : pricing is set per testing/evaluation of the three sections. Pricing to get to the point of testing at each section is variable given how many Private workouts, group classes, and workshops (online/in person) are needed for you, the teacher in training, to gain the knowing and understanding to pass tests and become certified. An estimation of these hours will occur during the application window, and throughout training, so you can anticipate what it will take. Each applicant will have a unique starting point and thus will require a unique amount of training hours to be proficient and excellent in practice and in teaching. Regular private, class, workshop rates apply.
